This rug is entirely handmade, using a special weaving technique. The background is knotted by looping directly around the warp and weft, giving a flat but highly tactile finish. The silk stripe motif is knotted in a soft short pile, giving the pattern unique definition. We use only the finest natural yarns; the Tibetan wool for its softness and durability, and the fine silk for its delicate lustre that enhances the design of the rug.
