Vivienne Westwood’s design Scribble Orb is the latest cushion to join The Rug Company Boutique collection. Entirely hand woven, this wool tapestry cushion depicts Westwood’s signature orb scribbled onto an indigo tartan background. The orb logo represents ‘taking tradition into the future’, where the orb symbolises tradition and the past and the future is symbolised by Saturn’s orbital ring.

Artist Rob Ryan’s intricately hand cut work translates beautifully into a fine wool tapestry in ‘We Had Everything’, an exquisite and romantic wallhanging. The picture shows sweethearts kissing on a swing amongst the trees and birds, with the words ‘We had nothing, We had not much, We had enough, We had everything. Please don’t ever let me have too much’.

Suzy Hoodless’ first design for The Rug Company, Flamingo, is a hand woven wool tapestry wallhanging, depicting a magnificent bright pink flamingo on a plain background. In keeping with Suzy’s signature style, the wallhanging embraces the confident use of bright colour.

A new five-piece wallhanging collection by Disney depicts stills taken from the classic animation Three Little Pigs. Hand woven in fine wool tapestry and stretched over a wood frame, they are perfect for children’s bedrooms or nostalgic fans of the Disney heritage. On their own or part of a set, these wallhangings capture the charm and classic style of the 1933 cartoon, which has been loved for generations.
