This rug is entirely handmade. Aubusson tapestry is a very fine flat-weave quality originating in France which has been celebrated for centuries. The design is taken from an 18th Century original that once graced a French chateau and is woven by hand in wool on a cotton warp. The finished rug is very fine yet strong, and works perfectly as a floor rug. A non-slip underlay is supplied.
